Beaubien TV Ads Spur Big Money Infusion to and from McSweeney

Jack Roeser

“Big money!” is what participants on Wheel of Fortune shout as they spin the wheel.

But, that’s small change considering what has been deposited in Dave McSweeney’s campaign fund.

Pounded last week by attacks on his Pro-Life views by opponent Dee Beaubien, the Illinois Democratic Party and the pro-abortion Personal PAC, the Republican nominee for State Representative in the 52nd District has tapped some big contributors…including himself.

Jack Roeser kicked in a whopping $100,000.

How he can do that under the campaign finance limitation laws probably passed by Democrats specifically to prevent Roeser from doing so is beyond me, but that’s what the campaign disclosure report filed today says.

[Stratton’s Ghost explains how this is possible below in a comment: “Dee declared herself a self-funder by surpassing the 100K limit therefore the new campaign finance laws do not apply.” So, it’s Katie bar the door as far as contributions go.]

$70,000 was put in by the candidate himself.

In addition, reported today were

  • $20,000 – Hager Street Limited Partnership
  • $2,500 – Associated Beer Distributors of America PAC
  • $1,500 – James P. Bruner, Jacksonville
  • $1,000 – Credit Union PAC
  • $1,000 – Workers Compensation Lawyers Assoc.
  • $1,000 – Associated General Contractors of Illinois

  1. Dee declared herself a self-funder by surpassing the 100K limit therefore the new campaign finance laws do not apply.

  2. The amount of money being spent on this race is a disgrace.

The winner should turn down the job salary, health care and pension.

They claim they are fiscally conservative!

    What a joke!

I hate to think how they will spend the taxpayer money when elected.

  3. They’ll spend the taxpayers money just like they spend their own.

  4. Spending of one’s own money has no correlation, whatsoever, of how they act fiscally once in office.

That is a silly argument, from either side.

Don’t get me wrong- I truly don’t understand how any candidate can put in that kind of money into their own political raises.

With that said, now that the right-wing extremist Jack Roeser is all in for McSweeney, Beaubien now has even more evidence for what kind of legislator McSweeney will be – a right-wing extremist.

  5. I am a conservative Republican strongly supporting McSweeney.

Dee Beaubien is a LEFT wing loon.

I look forward to voting for McSweeney.

However, Jack Roeser is a total whacko….a RIGHT WING NUT JOB.

Roeser is a mean, angry, “ball-and-chain” to anyone he supports.

Most of his support is usually tied to his looney PAC wtth some type of “in-kind” contribution that is of no help to the candidate, but great help to Roeser.

Jack Roeser is a political nutball.

Go Republicans!!!! Do yourself a favor, and stay away from this loser, Jack Roeser

  6. Cal, I thought you posted a picture of Mr. Burns, Homer’s boss on The Simpsons.

  7. Jack Roeser is the same guy that claimed Republican US Senator Mark Kirk is gay.

Roeser’s even more classy than some of the sexists around this blog.

    Keep taking his money, McSweeney.

    It shows your true colors.

  8. By Right Wing Nutjob…..do you mean when he is buying old homes, fixing them up and selling them for next to nothing to his employees?

Such an awful person that he knows all his employees by name at Otto?

Jack has 3 classrooms there also.

He makes sure all of his employees have a path to citizenship if not Americans.

    Condemn the Right wingers!

The day my husband and I toured the facility (we were there 6 hours) Jack tirelessly led us through, proudly telling us story after story about those that worked there and for how many years.

He just as proudly introduced them to my husband, Brad a former 24 yr Fighter Pilot, USAF.

He was delighted each time telling them this is one of the guys you have been making parts for when he was flying the F-15 Eagle.

Jack Roeser is a wonderful man.

    Disgusting to say otherwise.

God Blessed Jack Roeser and I am honored to know him.

  9. If he wants an answer, he actually takes the time to find out.

I noticed he had no trouble calling me when he wanted an answer to the accusations that Mark Daniels called ranting about me.

Unlike many that I find speculating, attacking and lying about here.

  10. **By Right Wing Nutjobā€¦..do you mean when he is buying old homes, fixing them up and selling them for next to nothing to his employees? **

Nope.. we mean right-wing nutjob, as in extremist with extremist positions. Most Republicans think of him as a nutjob, so that tells you a lot.

Let me ask you this, Tonya – do you think it is appropriate for a person to publicly attack someone for being gay, even when they are not?

  11. I like you, Tonya.

Stay far away from Roeser, though.

    Just some advice. Your call.

If you continue your relationship with him, I will wonder about your judgment. Give it time, his colors always end up showing.

  12. Look – everyone on this blog knows that I am a Dee supporter.

But that has nothing to do with my thoughts on Roeser.

It is very telling that folks on this blog who are typically very conservative have no love for Roeser.

  13. Ha ha ha…..relationship?

    Pathetic.

I don’t need friends like that.

I don’t have a relationship with anyone but my husband.

How about your President’s relationships with The Muslim Brotherhood?

I admired what the man does for the Community, which I know to be true and now it’s a relationship.

    No hope here.

    Judge away.

Jack Roeser is a great American!

  14. Tanya… you didn’t answer my question, so I’ll ask it again:

Do you think it is appropriate for a person to publicly attack someone for being gay, even when they are not?

  15. Again I point out the cowards who hide behind screen names while bearing false witness against their neighbor (you might want to check out the 8th Commandment for reference).

Jack Roeser is a WWII Veteran who has never stopped serving the country he loves.

He stands by Biblical values which now are falsely framed as “Right Wing Extremist.”

I’m pretty sure any man that stands for God in this world won’t be called a “Right Wing Extremist” on judgment day.

Now go ahead and cowardly excoriate me for being truthful while you continue to hide in the shadows.

  16. Still no answer…maybe you missed the question, so lets try it again:

Do you think it is appropriate for a person to publicly attack someone for being gay, even when they are not?
