In the 2011 fall Republican Party Port Edward fund raiser, Sheriff Keith Nygren was squiring around his endorsed replacement Andy Zinke.
As predicted, the end of June fund raiser held by Undersheriff Andy Zinke at Donley’s Wild West in Union didn’t raise much money.
You can see the contributions exceeding $150 below in alphabetical order:
- $310 – Anthony T. Huemann, Johnsburg
- $200 – Donald V. Norton, Carol Stream
- $500 – Pamela Sosnowski, Richmond
- $200 – Micheal Wilgosiewicz, West Dundee
There were $5,140 in smaller contributions, which may have come in then.
The big money came in at the end of the reporting period, however.
Take a look at the late September donations in descending order by amount congtributed:

- $1,500 – Pork King Packing, Inc, Marengo

- $1,000 – Home State BankCorp, Inc, Crystal Lake
- $1,000 – Reliance Tool & Manufacturing Company, Elgin
- $1,000 – Keith C. Wagner, President, Fabrik Molded Plastics, McHenry
- $500 – Campion Curran Dunlop Lamb & Cunabaugh PC, Crystal Lake,
- $250 – Richard & Elizabeth Graves, Spring Grove
- $250 – William & Elizabeth Mack, Crystal Lake
- $250 – Mary Nader, Attorney at Law PC, McHenry

No large contribution, however, from Sheriff Keith Nygren, who has endorsed Zinke.
Yesterday this information was referenced in an amendment in McHenry County Sheriff Sgt. John Koziol’s call for the appointment of a Special Prosecutor to probe whether Zinke has broken the law.

Now, tell me once again why Undersheriff Zinke was at a political fundraiser in uniform and armed?
Did he drive his County taxpayer-supported, official vehicle there?
Did he report that as personal use and reimburse the County for the mileage at the full, fair mileage rate?
And why did Keith permit Andy to be there in uniform?
Surely, between the two of them, they could figure out that showing up in uniform was not right.

Thinking of the political ramifications, other than the obvious alleged corruption.
Political donations are all a public record as Cal has shown us time and time again.
What person in their right mind will now contribute to Andy Zinke with this cloud of suspicion hanging over him?
The allegations are unproven and I am not casting any aspersions toward Goode, however, do I want my name associated with someone named in such scandalous allegations?
We all know how the news media likes to be provocative and print names for affect.
Hahahaa I can’t belive that citizens are not outraged to see a Top Law Enforcement Official at a Political Event of any kind Republican, Democratic, tea, green.
