McHenry County Board Committee Chairmen – Almost Final — 13 Comments

  1. Interesting that not one conservative was appointed chair or vice-chair per the list above.

  2. No conservatives? Hmmm, people here were talking Ersel Schuster as a conservative, but that was before her Chapter 13 personal bankruptcy came to light, the same day Chairman Tina Hill’s Chapter 7 personal bankruptcy and home foreclosure came to light.

    People voted for her anyway.

Wonder when Mike Walkup had that well publicized meeting with Hill if the topic of her personal finances ever came up. Congressman Joe Walsh was crucified over his both in 2010 and this year.

Still wondering when the county board will put the at-large election of the county board chairman on the April 9th ballot.

  3. Now it’s a Girls Club, what a joke. Are any of them qualified to run a multi-million dollar business? I don’t think so.

  4. But government is a great place to practise because you don’t have to worry about losing your money.

  5. “Jim,” I USED to think just like you……. It’s a man’s world, I wouldn’t hear otherwise. My mind set was exactly as you have just stated.

    One day, I woke Up…..

Have we ever had a female U.S. President? How is that mind set working for ya now?

    Enough said?

    Respectively.

  6. What does the fact they are female have to do with anything? They are less qualified because she doesn’t have a penis?

    Now I have heard everything.

  7. The fact that they are all female has a lot to do with the emergent trend of exclusion on the basis of sex in county board leadership.

Imagine the cow you would have if Ken had systematically excluded the female members of the board during his tenure.

Also, with respect to the “Now I have heard everything” punchline, don’t.

Feigning shock and moral indignation is not a fitting activity for adults.

  8. the only reason i didnt vote for mary margaret maule was because i thought she would use the word penis way too much and out of place on the county board. but if she would have been elected i would have asked her what her favorite committee was.

  9. Tina aims to be a one-term chairperson.

And it has nothing to do with which reprodutive organs she possesses.

  10. For all of you who are complaining about the quality of people who were elected; IF you are better qualified, why did you NOT run for office???

We are very thankful for those who did run for office.

Quit complaining, put your beer can down, get off the coach and GET Involved.

Take ACTION vs. whining like a baby.

  11. I am seriously concerned about McHenry County and this concern is based upon the last several years of the actions by the McHenry County Board both male and female members.

We have not had the right people on the board both male and female.

We need strong finance people both male and female.

And we need people with the guts to say “NO” both male and female.
