Independent Grafton Township Assessor Candidate Terra Jensen Shares Literature — 16 Comments

  1. Has she graduated high school yet? Or is she expecting her diploma in June?

  2. Go read her page on the web, @mattmac.

Jensen is by far the better choice in the Grafton Township assessor’s race, beign she’s the only candidate who’s worked in an assessor’s office and she actually owns property in the township.

And, to boot, she has been endorsed by Supervisor candidate Pam Fender.

  3. So, in seeking out Fender’s endorsement, she’s unnecessarily involved herself in the pathetic slap fight that is the old Grafton Township leadership?

    Shrewd.

  4. @mattmac, I guess you need reminding that Al Zielinski aligned himself with Moore early on by sponsoring bingo lunches and allowing her to pass out her election material at his “Blizzard of Kindness” campaign event.

He is far more tightly coupled with Linda Moore.

  5. Thank you for mentioning the senior bingo program.

If you are interested in the elite list of those who have sponsored and participated in this program, here are just a few:

Mayor Sass, Representative Tryon, Representative Schmitz, Assessor Bill Ottley, County Recorder Phyllis Walters, Former Coroner Marlene Lantz, County EMA Director Dave Christensen, Huntley Police and Fire Department, County Clerk Kathy Schultz, Stew Cohen of Star 105.5, Miss Illinois Hanna Smith, State Comptroller’s Office, and State Treasurer Dan Rutherford’s Office.

Unfortunately, Miss Jensen has not had any part of this program and I cannot name her as a member of this list.

I am also sure that I have not remembered everyone who has donated food or spoke, the list is just too long.

The Seniors who have attended these bi-monthly programs are some of the best informed residents in our area.

Unfortunately, Trustee Betty Zirk has lead a campaign to end this program.

Please keep this in mind when you go to the polls.

  6. Elite list?

As in people who are above us?

Is that what you think you are Linda?

Do you rule over me now as an elite?

    Well you’re not.

    None of you are “elite”.

    You’re public SERVANTS!

    Now do your job!!!

How many times must we say it?

  7. Elite as in excellent public servants.

Interesting comment coming from someone who calls themselves Jesus on Good Friday.

  8. Linda, as a Republican leader and Member of the Tea Party, are you endorsing Republican candidate Al Zielinski?

  9. Linda,

How dare you make assumptions of my religion, my care for yours and my ethnicity you imbecile.

    Unreal.

Jesus is my given name at birth.

And as for you calling yourself an elite public servant, do not flatter yourself.

You and your friends are NOT elite in ANY sense of the word!

  10. Linda, you wrote “Unfortunately, Trustee Betty Zirk has lead a campaign to end this (Senior Bingo) program.”

Is this more of your vindictive spewing?

Can you offer some proof supporting your statement?

My guess is that when the township has to borrow money to meet payroll, then yes, Senior Bingo may have to be scaled back.

Could THAT be due to the fact that YOU have spent all of the money on attorneys?

  11. GeeWizz Linda! You offer no proof of truth to the statement you wrote about Trustee Zirk.

The voters have spoken, now just go away!

  12. @mattmac, we know its you Al.

You can stop pretending to be anyone else but your sole supporter (yourself).

Jensen did not seek out Pam’s endorsement.

Pam took the initiative on her own because anyone with a brain knows you (Al Zielinski) are no good for Grafton Township!

NO SHADY BUSINESS DEALS! NO ZIELINSKI! NO WAY!

  13. Nope, publish under my own name.

No need for innuendo either; my opponent’s blinding lack of business and valuation experience speak for themselves.

  14. Let me ask you Al, if you were such a great business man, why did you come out of nowhere, move to Grafton Township and seek a taxpayer funded pension?

Is it because you made poor business investments by overvaluing property and losing your life savings in the housing market? Is that why you live on the floor of your girlfriends house? You sound like a great business man. I’m in awe of your success.

Your business experience is comprised of making under the table ” business deals” and your valuation experience consist of undervaluing the voice of real Grafton Township residents by cheating them out their right to vote to deny you the office of assessor.

Your a snake dressed in clowns clothing. Get outta here!

NO SHADY BUSINESS DEALS! NO AL ZIELINSKI! NO WAY!

  15. Moved here because of McHenry County’s exemplary Board of Review.

Chose to pursue the assessor position when I saw how poorly the office was being run and how badly taxpayers were being treated.

    In a phrase: public service.
Same reason I’m donating 10% of my gross assessor’s salary to the Grafton Food Pantry: to give back to the community.

  16. No Al, you moved to Lakewood to move in with your girlfriend. It is noted, your name is not on the property deed, and you’ve lived with her for well over 18 months at that address (and who knows how long you’ve lived with her prior). That’s significant, because you have no roots in Grafton Township other than minimal residency.

Come Tuesday, the voters are going to send you and your charlatan’s campaign packing when we elect Terra Jensen as assessor.
