June 6 – Ladies’ Night (men invited, too) – Personal Safety Strategies

Join us on Thursday, June 6 (only a week away) for a 7:00PM presentation (at the Woodstock VFW) by Alexandra Nelson, a 15-year veteran of law enforcement and firearms trainer for a suburban police department. Read the complete description of the event on the MCR2CA website.

The program will start at 7:00PM, and we’ll continue to use a sound-amplification system. The cost is $10.00 at the door. No reservations needed. This program is for women, men and the young adults in your household.

A HUGE THANK-YOU for Attorney Jerry Novak for his dynamic presentation last night.

Jerry’s fast-paced presentation held the audience’s attention for more than an hour, and there were many questions afterwards.

Do you have a safe room in your home?

A strategy in your family for what to do in the event of an emergency or home invasion?

Do you know what you should do if you suspect a burglar in your home?

A. You must know when you can shoot and when you’d better not.

We expect to invite Jerry back. Jerry presented valuable information about what to do, if you find yourself involved in a shooting. Every word you say is important.

Therefore, while he didn’t say it, I will: remember your Miranda Rights! For more information about Jerry, visit http://www.CollegeofPersonalSafety.org
