Crystal Lake Police Seek Man Who Attacked Four Colonies Couple

On Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at approximately 4:17 a.m. Crystal Lake Police were summoned to a residence in the 1500 block of Isle Royal Circle, (Crystal Lake) responding to two subjects injured in the home

Upon arrival officers located a 28 year old female resident and her 23 year old boyfriend within the residence, both suffering multiple stab wounds.

Both were transported to area hospitals in critical condition.

The offender had fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.

Investigation thus far has revealed this incident is a case of domestic violence.

A suspect has been developed, and the McHenry County Major Investigations Assistance Team (MIAT) has been activated to assist Crystal Lake Police with this on-going investigation.

The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office has authorized warrants for the arrest of Jimmy Bell Jr., male/black, 30 years of age, (of Elgin, Illinois), for two counts of Attempt Homicide.

Bell is believed to be driving a Red Honda Accord, bearing Illinois registration of 5566117 and may be enroute to Indiana or Georgia.

Bell is considered to be armed and dangerous, and any attempt to apprehend him should be done by law enforcement officers only.
