  1. This is an absolute disgrace. The CLPD continues to terrorize the hard working citizens of Crystal Lake.

They have become like the brown shirts. No wonder the morale in the department remains in the toilet.

  2. No kidding, Skeptic. Outrageous. I also am totally disgusted by the local government Gestapo tactics.

  3. I totally agree. What’s the matter with this department? Why do they consider their taxpayers the enemy of the state? Could it be they’re led by the same type of City Hall found in Johnsburg?

I was hoping things would improve with the new boss in town, especially now that Linder and Lowery are gone – you’d think that since the trash has been disposed of the department would improve.

Maybe it just takes more time. Here’s hoping.

  4. Seems like these were valid reasons for citations.

“Disgrace, Outrageous, Why do they consider their taxpayers the enemy” come on people.

I’m not a cop or a fan of the police departmant but your comments must just be a joke, right?

If the police weren’t doing their job you would be complaining about that too!

  5. I can’t believe: You’re right.

They should stake out in front of your house and any time you or your children break ANY violation or law, we should ticket you.

Perhaps you didn’t put on your seat belt BEFORE starting the care this morning.

Did you buckle your kids in the seat and do so CORRECTLY?

    Child endangerment !!!!

You see, “I can’t believe”, any person doesn’t have followed very long before you realize you’re breaking the law all the time.

I know you run stop signs…….so WHO the police decide to get is really up to them.
