McHenry County College Faculty Personal Information Breached, Too

When last night’s article about the sending of personal student information to three as yet unidentified junior colleges by McHenry County College software vendor Ellucian, I thought that was the limit of the security breach.

It turns out it wasn’t.

Faculty Social Security numbers were also sent into the internet breach.

[This article was published Saturday.  Requests for further information were sent by Saturday.  Monday afternoon at about 4, the following correction was received:

“This statement is inaccurate. Per our CIO, Al Butler, the personal information shared never came close to any so-called Internet breach. See below for info, (which was a press release published Monday night.)”
