Earlier, McHenry County Blog ran a press release from Fox River Grove Republican Precinct Committeeman Andrew Gasser about his candidacy for County Board in District 1.
When I stopped in the County Clerk’s Office to get my petition for Precinct Committeeman, I noticed other candidates for County Board had picked up petition packets.
The final election results for McHenry County Board in District 5. Note that Republican Michael Rein almost nudged out Democrat Paula Yensen, who won by 295 votes in a Presidential year.
They are
- Donna Kurtz – District 2
- Joe Gottemoller – District 3
- John Hammerand – District 4
- Michael Rein – District 5
Rein also took a GOP Precinct Committeeman petition for Dorr 1, where Tom Harding is now the elected Committeeman.
Two seats are up in each district. Incumbents seems to be running for re-election in all but District 3, where Mary McClellan took out petitions for County Clerk.
In addition, Glenda Miller got petitions for County Treasurer.
