Don’t know why it took a Freedom of Information request to pry the information in the headline out of McHenry County College, but it did.
An unrevealed number of Social Security numbers and other personal data of students and, it seems, past students, and employees were sent over the internet by software consultant Ellucian to three other Illinois junior colleges:
- Morton
- Prairie State
- Triton
In communications from faculty members released yesterday, MCC refused to share this information with them, too.
