Having served as McHenry County Treasurer from 1966-1970, I can tell it never occurred to me not to sign an authorized check. My memory tells me that the County Treasurer is the Treasurer of the Mental Health Board, the same way he or her is of Valley Hi and the Board of Health. I remember delivering the first checks to both Pioneer Center and Family Services.

  1. So, where was Mr. LePew when the MHB was writing all those huge checks for Family Services??

  2. How often does LeFew show up to sign County checks?

that, too, seems to inconvenience him when he has to leave his insurance business in Harvard to make the drive to Woodstock.

  3. County should hold up Bill LeFew’s check, or should I say, checks, for how many absentee years now?
