1414 Winaki Trail, Algonquin, IL Residential Fire

At 3:24 a.m., October 15, 2013 the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District responded to 1414 Winaki Trail in Algonquin for a structure fire.

Dispatch was notified by the resident who discovered smoke in the kitchen of his home.

Upon arrival at 3:29 a.m. crews encountered a single story ranch with smoke showing from the rear of the house. Fire crews initiated an investigation and attack.

Crews found fire in the kitchen.

Once extinguished, the crews ventilated the home to let accumulating smoke out of the attic space.

Fire Crews remained on the scene until after 4:30 a.m. investigating the fire and securing the home.
