Below I have copied TWO incidents for you to be aware of. These were forwarded to me by the Chief of Police of Marengo on Tuesday November 12th:

Below I have copied TWO incidents for you to be aware of. These were forwarded to me by the Chief of Police of Marengo on Tuesday November 12th:

1). In this one, the Chief asks, “Please be aware of this incident and report any sightings of this vehicle to the police ASAP.”

We took a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of 701 Lura Ln. The complainant said his son ran inside and said the passenger was taking pictures of him.

The father ran out and followed the vehicle, a black 2003 Volvo bearing IL registration S107422.

The registration came back out of Minooka but Minooka police said the property is vacant.

We are just trying to identify the driver and passenger in case it comes back to the area.

The driver was described as a male white in his 60’s and the passenger a male white in his 30’s.

2) In this one, the Chief states this incident occurred at 841 Woodbine Ln:

This is in regards to report 004786. I spoke with victim who stated that a female subject had come to her door at 7:30 at night requesting to come in and offer her free carpet cleaning.

Victim stated that the lady pulled up in her driveway in a dark colored Nissan Quest, and left the van running with the headlights on.

Victim could not tell if there was anyone else in the van, but the lady was very pushy in trying to get inside the house. The flyer the lady gave to victim has a number on it that wanted victim to provide an access code. This could be another attempt of someone distracting the home-owner while others come in and burglarize the house. – Ofc. Rzotkiewicz #620
