New McHenry Township Assessor Takes Office

Mary Mahady takes the oath of office as McHenry Township Assessor.  She cracked the Republican monopoly last spring, but the term of office did not begin until January 1st.

Mary Mahady takes the oath of office as McHenry Township Assessor. She cracked the Republican monopoly last spring, but the term of office did not begin until January 1st.  Notary Jayne Bockman administers the oath while lifetime resident Ardelle Conway holds the Bible.

After winning in the April 2013 election, Mary Mahady took the Oath of Office as McHenry Township Assessor on Sunday December 29, 2013 in front of approximately 40 township residents that braved the icy conditions to witness the event.

Ms. Mahady thanked them for their support and promised to continue to use her knowledge and experience in real estate and the assessment field to educate and assist taxpayers.

Ms. Mahady’s experience includes

  • 27 years as a licensed real estate agent
  • 13 years as a McHenry County Board of Review member and
  • 3 1/2 years as a Deputy Assessor in Nunda Township
