There are three candidates, but only one has filed a campaign disclosure form with the Illinois State Board of Elections.

That is Michael Rein of Woodstock.

He reports no activity in the last three months lf 2013, but had $283.17 in the bank at the end of the year.

Rein was on the ballot in 2012, but lost to Democrat Paula Yensen’s re-election bid.

The other two candidates are John Jung, Jr., the only Republican incumbent.

Jung was beaten by Yensen her first time out, but regained the seat during reapportionment year, when all County Board seats were up for grabs.

The final candidate is Zane Seipler, the man who ran against Sheriff Keith Nygren in 2010 in the GOP primary election.  Seipler is also running for Republican Precinct Committeeman against Nygren’s hand-picked replacement, Undersheriff Andy Zinke.

Seipler has a blog called “McHenry County Sheriff’s Race 2014.

Yensen has $4,112.32 in the bank, but raised no money in the last quarter of 2013.
