Tribune Cartoonist Does Riff on Christie Bridge Problem

In New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has problems with his staff shutting down the entrance to a tunnel under the Hudson River.

Inspired, Chicago Tribune Editorial Cartoonist Scott Stantis drew an image of a blocked “Illinois Prosperity Bridge.” (See the entired cartoon here.)

I don’t remember anyone being killed in the blockade, but Stantis has cars having run through the bridge rails falling to who-knows-where.

It seems to me that an analogy to the bridge that collapsed in Minnesota might be more appropriate.
