County Board Member Robert Nowak Flipped on Randall Road Intersection

In District 1, GOP incumbent Robert Nowak is being challenged by Andrew Gasser and David Stieper. (The other incumbent is Democrat Nick Chirikos.)

What follows is the last paragraph from the Daily Herald article on the District 1 Republican Primary Election race for the McHenry County Board.

“All three candidates are against McHenry County Division of Transportation’s proposal for a continuous flow intersection, or CFI, at Randall and Algonquin roads because it is too expensive.

“The CFI is part of MCDOT’s plan to improve a 3½-mile stretch of Randall Road from Ackman Road south to County Line Road at Algonquin Commons.”

Here’s what Nowak did at the meeting:

Robert Nowak, elected in District 1 from Cary, but now from Lake in the Hills said, “I see the congestion on Randall Road.”

People are moving on frontage roads to avoid it, he explained.

“The only way [is] to proceed to vote for this…gather more information and come up with the best solution.”

  1. Typical double speak from the current slate of politicians in McHenry County.

They promise you one thing and do the opposite.

Is Bob Nowak taking the pension and health insurance?

    Gasser and Stieper are not.

    That’s a great question.

  2. A very good reason not to return Mr. Nowak to office – he doesn’t do his homework, votes yes on everything and doesn’t tell the truth.

Getting caught once for lying is like getting caught once for DUI; not the first time they did it, just the first time they got caught!

McHenry County residents can vote for two individuals on the Republican Ballot in the March 18th Primary, and those two should be Andrew Gasser and David Stieper.

  3. Throughout Bob Nowak’s career on the County Board, there’s been little indication that he has done his homework or had an original thought of his own on any subject.

Too many of these already on the Board. Time to eliminate the dead wood on March 18th.

  4. This comes to no surprise to me as I have had the misfortune in dealing with Bob Nowak some years back when he was the Director of Building, Planning, and Zoning at the Village of Cary.

I rather have my teeth pulled than deal with Nowak ever again.

  5. ‘Fukoku” You can have all of your teeth pulled, it might just shut you up.

That would give us all some peace.

Please, from above, have mercy upon all of us and take her teeth.

Frankly, before you go Pointing fingers at Bob Novak or Cal, you should be looking at the Regime.

Many people have had the misfortune of dealing with them. Hmmmmmm

Let’s see, the Pavlin’s law suit for excessive force brought on by that infamous posse.

The behavior demonstrates is that they don’t honor the sanctity of the Constitution and the laws that are suppose to protect us.

    Hey, guess what guys?

Walmart is having a sale on brooms and it’s time to seep up your act.

You have a lot of dirt to clean up.

Heres the scoop, the only way things will get better in McHenry County is if there is a turnover in the upcoming election for Sheriff.

The people have to decide if they will vote for that side show attraction and clown, Andy Zinke, from the Nygren and Zinke Cirus.

Or, will the people choose to make a difference and get out on election night and vote for positive change by voting for Bill Prim…

    Choose wisely.

    Primaries Tuesday March 18, 2014.

So for now wishing the Regime “Happy Sweeping”

  6. Duncan what are you blabbing about?

And who is pointing the finger at Cal?

    Why are you here Duncan?

You stated on 01/27/2014 at 2:10 pm under the topic (Andy Zinke’s Salary Progression) that YOU do NOT live in the State of Illinois.

As a non-resident of McHenry County, you don’t even have the power to vote in this county!

    GO AWAY!

    Harass your own community!

  7. “Fukoku” Our goal is to rid McHenry County of Corruption.

And, it would be nice if you packed your bags and left also…

Whether I live here or not is none of your business..

You seem to think you have control of everything and you do not.

The fact is, you are threatened by me because I have played a big role in making sure Andy Zinke is voted out of office..

If you don’t agree with me, too bad.
