I wasn’t sure which way I was leaning in this race… Until I attended the Lincoln Day Dinner a few weeks back… Besides exemplifying everything that is wrong in the Republican party, this dinner shed light on a few candidates and issues that, until then, I was not aware of…
Ms. McClellan sat at the table alongside the likes of Mr. Nygren and Zinke and carried on with them in a manner that was entirely too close for my comfort.
If you share in my view that the Sheriff’s office is in dire need of a drastic change in direction and leadership, than you must also share in my view that Ms McClellan is not who we want running our County Clerk’s Office…
I would add that the same can be said of the race for County Treasurer…
I happen to be convinced that Jeff Thorsen is the far better choice.
Not just in qualifications, but also in integrity and character.
But, if I knew nothing of Mr.Thorsen, the knowledge of Ms. Miller’s relationship and history with the current Sheriff and company is enough to convince me that Ms. Miller is not worthy of being entrusted with an office such as the County Treasury.
I must say, I am so thankful that the majority of the people in America have the ability to think for themselves without judging others by who they sit with.

I’ve heard that McClellan is a “union person.”
Does this mean she’d push to have the Clerk’s office unionized if she were elected?
One thing we don’t need more of is unions.
When her literature shows “McHenry County Clerk” under her name, is she misrepresenting herself?

I’d think with all that “experience” she’d know that she’s running as Mary McClellan FOR County Clerk and that her literature, mailings, etc. should reflect that.

Same goes for Prim, Zinke, Miller and Thorsen. Haven’t even checked County Board literature yet.
I find it so entertaining when a blogger makes a off the wall comment in the attempt to make a candidate look like a fool, and someone like Teacher155 fires back with the facts and makes that blogger look like the real idiot.
