Zinke Sends Supporters Thanks

Here’s the email that Undersheriff Andy Zinke sent to his supporters:

For a Safe and Secure McHenry County
Friends,

I’d like to take a moment to say thank you to all of the voters who entrusted their support in me during the 2014 Republican primary election for McHenry County Sheriff. No one can recall a closer countywide race in recent history.

There is an enormous amount of energy and passion that takes place behind the scenes in a campaign and I want to thank our supporters for their tireless efforts. As we await the final results, I want to congratulate all of the candidates who participated in the election process. It was through this process that we were all fortunate to meet and become friends with so many community leaders and terrific people in McHenry County.

My focus will remain upon the community which I have served for over 25 years and the people responsible for keeping everyone safe. I value the friendships we have forged and look forward to continue working together to make McHenry County a better and safer place to live and work.

Talk to you all soon.

Best,

Andy

  1. Wow, still no concession.

I guess even with his “superior” experience and education, he can’t see the writing on the wall.

  2. Somebody once said that the patrol section of MCSD represented only 40 votes, so their opinions are not significant.

    A little math…

Most of those 40 or so people are registered voters and have spouses or “significant others” who are also registered voters.

Let’s say all 40 have at least one neighbor or friend who is a registered voter, and sought advise on who to support.

    40 + 40 + 40 = 120

Prim won by what, 97 votes?

Although Prim ran a great grassroots campaign with many dedicated staffers, it’s safe to say the Patrol section had a integral part in Prim’s victory.

    A leader leads

    1) by example,

    2) is fair, and

    3) works FOR his people; not for himself.

  3. Gee Zinke says he looks forward to continue working with the people of McHenry County ????????

If I were him I would turn one of his vote for Zinke campaign signs into a For Sale sign.

  4. As I have suggested, anyone who worked hard for Bill Prim can claim he or she elected him.

The same thing was true when I won the GOP primary election for McHenry County Treasurer in 1966.

    With almost 13,000 votes cast, the spread was 277 votes–33%+, 33%, 33%-.

    I won by 72 votes.

  5. What a joke he is.

He would never admit when he was at fault before…

He could never accept any type of criticism ,even when its constructive .

Everyone else was to blame for his faults.

Ha Stinky, you lost the election.

There is not going to be anyone of your little fed friends to save you now, and find some missing votes.

The citizens of McHenry County showed they didn’t want you, and wanted Mr. Prim..

The men and women of McHenry County Sheriffs Office showed they didn’t want you either.

I guess you can try picking up the phone and calling Goode and cry to him,

You son had a better chance of running then you did, at least I don’t think he would have done half of the idiot things you did, but then again the apples come from that same tree…

I can only imagine how walrus feels about you now ?

  6. It seems as though truth prevails.

    It always does.

And where are you, those who endorsed Zinke?

    Where is teacher155?

  7. ProudConservative, if I were a betting man they’re updating their resumes.

Many of them have been taken care of their entire career.

“Taken care of” means undeserved promotions, any training they want (including cross country trips at taxpayer expense), appointment to the SWAT/good-ole-boy club, getting off easy on disciplinary matters.

It is funny I have heard many of Zinke’s clowns have already been telling their subordinates “maybe Prim will change things for the better”.

Those people will be the first ones to suck up to Bill prim, as that’s the only way they know.
