In the 14th Congressional District, State Rep. Barb Wheeler has declared her candidacy for State Central Committeeman.
The district is represented in Congress by U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren.
She is running against the Lake County Republican Chairman Bob Cook of Wauconda and Montgomery Village Trustee Stanton Bond, who is also the Chief Deputy Clerk in Kane County.
Each of the three major counties in the district has a candidate on the ballot.
There seems to be unhappiness with Wheeler for her support of Andrew Zinke for McHenry County Sheriff. She told more than one that she was going to remain neutral.
I honestly don’t see how anybody from Chicagoland can be part of a state central committee.
I must be missing the point…
Given what I know about both Stan Bond and Barb Wheeler, I’m leaning towards supporting Bob Cook, by virtue he has served as a county Republican chairman, and both Bond and Wheeler have not.
I think Miss Barbie should be more attentive about her husband and children at this point in her life . . . anyone trying to groom her should be exposed.
Are you kidding?
What a joke!!
I suppose the powers that be have deemed wheeler the next anointed one?
There are so many reasons NOT to vote for her!
Bob Cook gets my vote!
A vote for Barb Wheeler is a vote for Jack Franks!
OK. I figured it out.
I have a bad habit for taking things literally, so when I heard the word central I just thought of central Illinois.

Endorsing Zinke will be her downfall.
I thought officials didn’t endorse during primaries?
Will she, and the others who endorsed Zinke now back Prim, the Republican?
