  1. All I can say is that Zinke is a real weenie !

I can see him now, Stamping his foot crying,” I want a recount, I want a recount”

    Makes me laugh.

Do what you want Zinke maybe I can get you a job pulling a float in the parade this summer. ( No finger waving please l.o.l.)

  2. BILL PRIM WILL BE SHERIFF OF MCHENRY COUNTY !!!!!!!!!! Happy Trails To You Andy Zinke !

  3. Get your counts out of your system and then go away.

The people of McHenry County have spoken and they want Bill Prim

    BECAUSE:

they want a person who is honest
they want someone who cares about them as a community and as a department
they want a person who does not flip flop to win an election
they want the real deal and you can’t fool the honest people who are voting in McHenry County.
Vote Bill Prim in November !!!

  4. You Prim guys are treating this victory like it was the Seahawks destroying the Broncos in the Super Bowl when this race was really a photo finish.

Less than 20% voted in this race.

If anything, we know that 7% of Republican Primary voters are Tea Party hacks who file frivolous law suits, waste taxpayer money on ethics complaints and finally break campaign laws by not listing who sends post cards with no 501c3/4 organization.

  5. So you think it is o.k. to break the law?

So you think some people have to go by the law and some don’t?

    Not a good philosophy.

Yes, we Prim people who are citizens get excited over the primary because the citizens finally can vote on a honorable candidate.

We can be proud of the County again.

  6. NotAnApologist, you sound like a very bitter person.

Let us know if there is anything we can help you with, your attitude is very destructive.

  7. Now Really Andy?…

You should be taking care of that big fat hole you have dug for yourself….

You have proven over and over again that you should not be running the Sheriffs office.

Remember that famous finger and shutting down Cal’s blog?.

Andy Zinke, the main side show attraction in the Nygren and Zinke Circus…

That book of yours “Political Campaigning for Dummies” will surely be a best seller.

  8. He is a loser in every way!!!

He belongs in the unemployment line.

  9. Andy Zinke, couldn’t resist another side show act, from the Nygren and Zinke Circus..

Seems to me by filing this petty petition for a recount..

More like, that passive aggressive behavior from Zinke.

Your a loser Andy, get use to it. Time to pack your bags and head out of town.

  10. I am not sure why it is such a big deal to people if Andy Zinke wants to do a recount.

There was only a 97 vote difference out of what 29,000-30,000 votes.

Yes it is a formality and there is a probability of 99.999% Bill Prim will be the winner.

But it is Andy Zinke’s right to do a recount.

If Bill Prim would have lost by that amount I can pretty much guarantee that he would be doing a recount as well.

Also with a almost dead even split saying voters of McHenry County have spoken is true.

Half wanted Bill Prim the other half wanted Andy Zinke.

Making Bill Prim this overwhelming favorite is not even close of what happened.

That being said I hope Bill Prim does do a good job as Sheriff but only time will tell that.

I hope that Bill Prim is also held accountable by the people that voted for him as well.

  11. Relax is spot on.

The Prim fanboys have an all or nothing sentiment.

Bill is all good, Andy is all bad.

Bill is the overwhelming winner, Zinke is vastly the loser.

If you support Prim, you are good.

If you support Andy, you are the spawn of the devil.

This race wasn’t cut and dry.

And the reality is, both men, no matter their differences, would have been excellent leaders.

I wish that this moment will be followed by the blogging community and the local press, because it will be telling after Zane’s allegations are proved false and the recount is over; we will know the kind of leadership that the Tea Party affiliated candidates prescribe.

Theirs are tactics of intimidation and driving false narratives like Andy Zinke conspired to run drugs from Mexico through Rita Corp, or that a Japanese national was intentionally trying to demean the character of a states attorney.

What you don’t hear from Zinke supporters are false allegations, or frivolous lawsuits wasting taxpayer time and money.

Truthfully though, I’m probably just wasting time.

Many folks on this blog just thrive on a reaction; there really is no reason commenting when people live for ad hominem attacks and just throwing dust in the air.

  12. Zinke has a right to be angry at the County Clerk …….. she didn’t do her ‘duty’ …… maybe she couldn’t because she was a ‘short timer’ …. maybe she did, but it wasn’t ‘enough’?

God works in mysterious ways …. maybe Zinke could be Nygren’s Florida caddy?

  13. You guys make a good point; Andy certainly has the right and the reasons in such a tight race to ask for this recount.

I just have to say that many Prim supporters are not as dogmatic as you think.

They expect results from Prim if elected and say they will hold him accountable.

Accountability is something that is badly needed in every level of government.

Unfortunately it has been sadly lacking everywhere and especially in our Sheriff’s department.

  14. “NEWS FLASH” Andy Zinke is no leader.

He proved that by the way he ran his own campaign.

Clearly, Zinke is a public relations desaster and he proved that over and over again….

    Accountability?

You need to plead your case to Keith Nygren. He has yet to release the report on Rita Corporation…
