McHenry County Republican Party Chairman Mike Tryon swears in Algonquin Township Republican Central Committee officers for 2012-2014, from left to right, Vice Chairman Tom McDermott, Chairman Rebecca Lee, Treasurer Andy Gasser and Secretary Demetri

They are the current Vice Chairman Tom McDermott, who narrowly lost to Rebecca Lee for head of the organization two years ago, and newcomer Chris Yaeger, who is the newly-elected Precinct Committeeman in downtown Algonquin.

Both have sent emails soliciting support.

McDermott’s came first.  You can read it below:

Fellow Committeepersons,

I am the current Vice Chairman of ATRCC and the elected Committeeman in Algonquin 25.since 1994.

I am beginning my 30th year as a committeeman, beginning in 1984 in Algonquin 24, and have served as Vice Chairman for at least the past 10 years.

I am aware of other committeeman running for all Township officer positions. I am asking for your vote and support to continue as Vice Chairman of ATRCC. I believe it is wise to have continuity from the past and present into the future.

In addition to being elected in two Algonquin Precincts, numbers 24 and 25. I have chaired the By-laws committee of ATRCC for the past few years.

This project must be finished this year.

I have served in committeeman training in several Townships in the County.

I have participated with many County Officer elections and have the respect of many elected County Officials.

I have also been directly involved in many fundraising projects for our township. I am proud to state that I have been a lifelong Republican with a conservative but yet progressive attitude to keep up with the times of today.

I am a very strong believer in Township government and consider it a privilege to live in our Township.

I would appreciate your vote and support at our Township Election Meeting this Monday April 14 at 7:30 PM.

Thank you for your consideration of my candidacy for Vice Chairman of ATRCC.

I look forward to continue serving in the ATRCC executive committee as Vice Chairman.

Sincerely,

Tom

Yaeger’s came second and can be seen below:

On Monday, April 13th, at 7:30pm, the Algonquin Township Republican Central Committee will have it’s election for the executive offices.  Please arrive early, as to make sure you’re available for roll call.

I would appreciate your vote for me, as your Vice Chairman.

I have worked on several campaigns to get out the vote, starting with Joe Walsh’s campaign.  In addition to Joe, I have helped with Dan Duffy, Dave McSweeney as well as several others in the past.

For our most recent primary election, I worked for Bill Prim and many of the other candidates.

I am a newly elected to Precinct Committeeman for Algonquin 1, but what I lack in years of experience, I make up for in energy and a drive to learn.

I began my journey into politics, because I am concerned with the current direction of our country and wanted to do something to help change the tides, rather than sit back and wait for someone else would come along and do the necessary work.

I hope to save the next generation from having to do the heavy lifting of changing things, so that they can just stay the course back to prosperity.

I am of the belief that those who serve on the executive committee are there to help grow the party, of which I have already begun, by going out recruiting new committeemen to fill the open precincts,  for the recent election.

This is also something I plan to continue working on and with the help of others, I know that Algonquin Township will be able to say that we are pulling our weight, to flip the state.

I ask you to help me accomplish this goal, by electing me as your Vice Chairman for the Algonquin Township Republican Central Committee and look forward to getting to know those of you I have not had the opportunity of meeting yet.

Thank you

Chris Yaeger
