The McHenry County Transportation Committee has a resolution on its agenda which will allow the Village of Lakewood to join the new MCRide dial-a-ride program for an annual payment of $2 per capita
Crystal Lake, McHenry, and Woodstock recently merged its dial-a-ride services into a new service called MCRide.

This action will end the stupidity of Crystal Lake Pace buses running down Lake Avenue, but not picking up anyone in Lakewood.
Stupid because the marginal cost would be virtually nothing and stupid because Lakewood residents pay RTA taxes, but receive no Pace benefits.
Imagine the extent of TAX savings which could be realized by using private cab companies in place of an overpriced government bureaucracy called PACE!
Interesting that the country of India actually has a bus service that runs in black!!!
