When we left Crystal Lake’s 4th of July Parade, the Crystal Lake Public Library entry had just passed.

Next up was Congressman Peter Roskam.

Peter and Elizabeth Roskam walked the length of Dole Avenue.

Bruce Rauner’s and Randy Hultgren’s banners were carried in tandem down the street, but there was no sign of either candidate.

Then, there they were, walking up the street.

Reversing course, Bruce Rauner and Randy Hultgren started walking back the direction from which they came.

The two of them turned around and started walking back toward the Main Beach.

This was a good strategy, except that it should have been stared a bit earlier so both could have walked the whole parade route.

Jim Oberweis handed out literature to members of the crowd.

Following the two was the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Jim Oberweis.

Supporters of Paul Schimf had a respectable contingent of walkers.

Turning the lens back to the parade coming down the street, I caught the Paul Schimpf for Attorney General contingent.

The Young Republican tank came into sight.

And then came the McHenry County Young Republicans.

Showing support for local Republicans was State Rep. candidate Steve Reick.  His 63rd District actually has one precinct on Crystal Lake’s far northwest side.

Looking at the back of this long contingent there are Republicans as far as one can see.

Republicans Dominate CL Indpendence Day Parade – Part 2 — 39 Comments

  1. We had well over 200 parade goers in the various candidate sections.

    It was wonderful.

Thank you very much to everyone who came out and participated in the parade.

    Respectfully,
    Andrew Gasser

  2. The Prim for Sheriff float had a 96 year old World War 2 Vet, and had children.

What a wonderful site to see..They all looked like having so much fun while supporting Mr. Prim.

And seeing Mr. Prim walking and shaking hands all along the parade route was a site to see. We never saw Nygren or his failed side kick Zinke get out of their Tahoe’s and walk like Mr. Prim did !

And for Harrison to blow off the parade was not smart.

  3. For some reason he is having a difficult time facing the people of McHenry County…lol…

    Why Jim?

  4. Harrison did say he was sorry he had to miss the parade but guess what Jim
no one missed you or cared.

So many supporters for Prim !!!!!!!!!!!

Harrison didn’t want to be around that.

  5. There was a great turn out in Wonder lake on Friday the 4th.

We need to get some pictures from Barb at Walsh freedom.

People were receptive and holding up their hands to vote in November.

Joe and Sharon went all out and treated us all to a 4th party on Saturday that was out of this world

  6. What on earth was tired Tyron doing walking w/ Republicans?????

He should be riding in the limo convertible w/ his little pal, Jacko Franks!

  7. Great Pictures…….Great Parade…..Great Day……Who’s Harrison ?

  8. Who’s Harrison ?

    America,

Jim Harrison is the Independent candidate for the Sheriff of McHenry County that will bring with him a new and fresh leadership to this County that has no strings attached to either side of the widely expressed Regimes.

Jim Harrison as Sheriff will offer ALL the people of McHenry County a fair-balance-unbiased clean government that will bring their land back to being our land to the people of McHenry County.

It is our obligation as a whole as a people of Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and whomever we may be to rebuild a new government structure in our County.

Vote for the New Beginning: Vote Jim Harrison for Sheriff of McHenry County

  9. back at you couldn’t have said it better.

Paul Revere Harrison has no strings attached.are you kidding. Haven’t you been reading the articles on his past.

He worked for Gary Pack and was Nygrens attorney. That’s a lot of strings.

The candidates are running for Sheriff and you make it sound like Harrison is going to change the whole County. l.o.l.You say he is going to bring their land back???????Who lost land,I thought it was a Sheriff’s race?

Paul did you fall off your horse? You talk about Harrison rebuilding a new McHenry Government?

Did someone tell Harrison that he is doing more than changing the Sheriff’s department?L.O.L.

  10. Paul, you also have to have qualifications and experience to be the next Sheriff and Harrison,as I see it, doesn’t have any. He is an attorney.

If you want new beginnings vote for Bill Prim in November

  11. Can’t wait to see more pictures today Cal, and thank you for all the hard work you do.

  12. With all due respect we would do well as a country if we BANNED all ATTORNEYS from running for any office what so ever with a few exceptions.

    Is Althoff a Republican?

I have only ever seen her posing with Jack Franks and other Democrats.

Given her voting history of trying to get referendums on the ballot to raise taxs I thought for sure she was a Dem.

    Silly me.

  13. Paul revere –

Your statement about Harrison earily reminds me of another statement by another unqualified candidate for the position he was running, and an attorney:

“Only 5 more days until we fundamentally transform the United States of America”

    No thank you.

Ps: dumb move on Harrison’s part to reject the parade.

  14. Harrison will most likely come up with some excuse as to why he wasn’t in the parade.

If he couldn’t be in the parade he could have at least joined the people who were attending.

Could have been working on some legal work.

We have many many good attorneys who work hard in their fields of employment, The States Attorney and assistant States Attorneys all are doing a marvelous job !

    But that is just it.

Attorneys work in their field of expertise not run for Sheriff with no law enforcement background ( and not 25 years ago with less than 8 years of experience)

We need Bill Prim who has had what 27 years or more with CONTINUOUS law-enforcement experience and management skills to be a leader of the
    Sheriff’s department.

  15. Paul Revere,

You spoke about the bringing the land back to our land ? …..

Your too late brother, Harrison sold the land for mucho buck’s to McHenry County..

And then to collect millions of dollars from the County to defend case’s brought on for wrongful termination of 3 MCSO Correctional Officers by Nyren,

The pain to tax payers haven’t stopped since…

How much millions and millions of tax payer dollars were spent to Harrison and Soto’s trying to defend the childish actions by Nygren and Zinke ?

They recently spent over $900,000 in the Siepler case, and if they keep it up they will double that amount in the Milliman case.

Remember, Harrison donated a lot of $ to Pack campaign, and Nygren..

  16. America,

The Propagandist Team (Prim) numerous allegations claiming that former McHenry County State’s Attorney, Gary Pack, was guilty of dishonest practices, as bribery, inside trading, kickbacks, and together with other allegations of wrongdoing.

Having absolutely no knowledge of Gary Pack, I took it upon myself to do some extended research on Gary Pack.

I also researched the connection between the highly portrayed “Evil Trio”, Pack/Nygren/Harrison by the Propagandist Team (Prim).

I found NO conclusive evidence to support that former McHenry County State’s Attorney, Gary Pack was indicted on any wrongdoings, or a connection between the alleged “Evil Trio.”

In fact, what I have discovered was beyond belief that will blow your minds America!

In reference to an article that I discovered by Lawerence Synett, TribLocal reporter of the Chicago Tribune, title under “McHenry County state’s attorney indicted” dated September 10, 2010.

In the 18th Paragraph in this article, TribLocal reporter Lawerence Synett states:

Bianchi, who lives in Crystal Lake, had entered McHenry County politics as a relative novice when he easily won the 2004 primary, thanks in big part to the backing of the county’s influential sheriff, Keith Nygren.

    Here you got it America!

Sheriff Keith Nygren supported Lou Bianchi over Gary Pack, destroying the Propagandist Team (Prim) allegations that there was alliance between Pack/Nygren.

In fact, there was an alliance between Bianchi/Nygren!

  17. All I can say Paul Revere is that you don’t know how to do research .

It is odd that other people can read articles and come up with a different conclusion than you do.

You also have to remember that people themselves have gone through and have experienced the wrath of the trio.

Also you don’t always have to be indited to be guilty.

Paul don’t read just one article and report on something you know nothing about.

    It can be dangerous.

    allegations,only supported facts.

You have made up your mind and others can make up their own mind also.

  18. “Paul Revere” if you find no conclusive evidence that Harrison, Nygren and Pack knew each other, then that shows you know nothing about McHenry County.

That or your’e nothing but a guise in disguise..

    Yep, that’s it?..

Now get going, you are nothing but another distraction who is part of the regime.

It appears that the Paul Revere is wearing a monkey suit and he has gone bananas.

What’s this addressing the people by “America?” You sound foolish.

You can stop scratching your armpits, because you stink. Gosh, must be all of that over buttered popcorn you are eating.

Ya know, you could take off that monkey suit and take a shower in between those famous Tv shows “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right”

    By the way, wakeup!.

    Bianchi, was railroaded.

There was never any evidence to present a case and that is exactly why the case was thrown out of court by the Judge.

There are several people that know about those famous deals, and they also know that Bianchi did not want to partake and that is why he was railroaded; Bianchi was retaliated against.

Not only was Bianchi railroaded, there are others including police officers and civilians that faced the same fate.

They were falsely arrested and prosecuted: some were convicted and others were found innocent.

Gary Gauger is not the only victim of the McHenry County court system; the victim list runs long and wide…

  19. Paul you sound more and more like Jim Harrison… what ever you are thinking do not change history.

I saw first hand on what what Nygren, Pack and Glenn Gable could do

  20. Paul,

Please check McHenry County billing records.

Search under your name,Opps i mean Harrison, and the records should show that Pack himself approved paying out more than $1 million dollars in 1999 to Woodstock Attorney Jim Harrison’s law firm.

Now remember back then, how much $1,000,000 really was worth ?

Holy cow, just sign over the entire budget to him why don’t you.

Then start looking at the campaign donations good old Nygren pal Pack started getting from the his same Harrison Law Firm out of Woodstock, IL.

    Now isn’t that special ?

  21. Hey America…… Let’s all sing along……

Here I come to save the day !

That means that Mighty Mouse…….oops… Harrison , is on his way !

    VOTE PRIM…….

  22. l.O.l. l.o.l.

Happy Trails, thanks a lot…l.o.l. now I’ll never get that song out
    of my mind. l.o.l.

How about a tune for Paul Revere?

  23. Here we go again America

The Propagandist Team (Prim) disputed the authenticity of my statement, and I encourage everyone to search “McHenry County state’s attorney indicted” dated September 10, 2010 by Lawerence Synett, TribLocal reporter of the Chicago Tribune.

I am merely stated a fact that uncovered the truth of the false allegations made by the newly formed foursome song writers.

    You be the judge America.

  24. What does anything have to do with the States Attorney?

Bianchi is one of the most honorable States Attorney McHenry County has ever had.

    Don’t get off the subj

  25. sorry, Don’t get off the subject Paul.

Why not talk about the facts we stated about Harrison?

You can’t because what has been said is true.

You only want to get off the subject.

People can see right through you.

Diversion is one of the great things Pack/Nygren/Zinke/Harrison liked to do and you are following them.

  26. Ok America, that’s all be silly and sing a long….

Here is my song titled Mr. Grim:

Now, the man on the stand he wants my vote
He’s a-running for office on the ballot note
He’s out there preaching in front of the steeple
Telling me he loves all kinds-a people
    He’s eating’ bagels
    He’s eating’ pizza
    He’s eating’ chitins
    He’s eating’ bullshit!

Don’t you America eat the bullshit!

  27. ??????????????????????????????

TESTY are we…you are doing Harrison No favors…

Is Mr. Grim, Mr. Harrison ?

  28. Paul ,

With that type of attitude its no wonder why they took the horse away from you, afraid that you were going to ride around flipping people off.

  29. “Paul Revere” You just go ahead and continue living in your imaginary world.

You and Fukoku can exchange stories about your delusionary adventures.

    So what, Bianchi was indicted.

That does not make him guilty…

Many people from McHenry County have been falsely arrested, prosecuted, and found guilty.

No one, will ever forget the Gary Gauger case.

WOW! Harrison was paid $1,000,000 in legal fees.

The tax payers should be outraged.

That is just one reason, of many, as to why are taxes are so high. For several months now, Harrison has been asked to produce the land records.

    Follow the money.

  30. Is that song suppose to be a wrap tune?

Paul you had better keep your day job because I can’t figure out what the heck you’re saying.l.o.l.

  31. ” He’s out there preaching in front of the steeple” Harrison supporters at the Memorial
    Day Services

” Telling me he loves all kinds of people” Harrison is Independent of all parties…….loves all kinds of people
