The new McHenry County Republican Party’s Chairman, Sandra Salgado, and Ways & Means Vice Chairman Mickey Schuch, made the four-hour trip to the Illinois State Fair in Springfield Thursday.
The main speaker, of course, was gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner.
At breakfast, U.S. Senator Kirk Dillard spoke to the crowd.
Here is Schuch’s description of the trip:
We started at the Republican chairman’s meeting and finished the day at the state fair grounds for a large rally.
It was a huge success.
The positive and well directed energy to succeed in November was tangible by even the most liberal of attendees.
Some of the speakers were former Gov. Edgar, Bruce Rauner, Paul Schimpf, Judy Baar Topinka, US Rep. Aaron Schock, Sen. Kirk and many others.
A huge change is coming to the political landscape in Illinois.
It’s happening now, not next time or next year.
The Democrats are backed up to a wall with nowhere to run.
Victory! Victory!Victory!
It sounded energizing!
Keep up the great work McHenry County GOP!
Re: “Some of the speakers were former Gov. Edgar, Bruce Rauner, Paul Schimpf, Judy Baar Topinka, US Rep. Aaron Schock, Sen. Kirk”
At least we had one REAL Republican listed here – Paul Schimpf.
Based on voting records and activities, none of the others named even closely adhere to the GOP platform.
