For Those Who Think Dick Durbin Can’t Be Beaten

If independent PACs decide Dick Durbin is worth taking on, the U.S. Senator might want to keep wearing these safety glasses.

If independent PACs decide Dick Durbin is worth taking on, the U.S. Senator might want to keep wearing these safety glasses.

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is leading State Senator Jim Oberweis by a margin of 47.8% to 40.5%.

Libertarian Party candidate Sharon Hansen got about 4%.

7.6% were undecided.

The margin of error is 3%.

That means Oberweis could have 43.5% and Durbin 44.8%.

Nevertheless, it is unlikely that the margin of error would end up with those results.

  1. Polls have been wrong before!

Dick Durbin could very well be toast! I

  2. Oberweis will only win if he can get conservatives to the polls and to date I have seen nothing that will motivate them.

With the removal of voter id requirements from early voting and being able to register and vote on Nov. day, a close race will result in an ‘Al Franken moment’.

Oberweis must win in overwhelming fashion by getting conservatives who have ‘given up’ to the polls.

Where is the coordinated Illinois GOP campaign?

I see ALL independent campaigns but nothing coordinated amongst Federal, State and local candidates!

  3. Remove durbin, also Quinn and Madigan.

Now that I think about it remove all democrats so you can afford to stay in Illinois.

Right now it is ILLINOIS LAND OF CORRUPTION !
