Democratic Party State Representative Jack Franks has a $40 fundraiser next Saturday, September 27th, at Donley’s Banquet Hall in rural Union.
The invitation is below:
There seem to be fewer “Host Committee” members this year.
There are certainly fewer Republican elected officials and candidates this year than last year.
The only one I see is McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren.
Missing from last year’s list are Michele Aavang, Mary McCann, Robert Martens and Andy Zinke.
There are probably still locally elected non-partisan officials.
You can look for them tomorrow.
And, if you attend Keith Nygren’s retirement party Thursday night at Donley’s please let me know if Franks attends.
When is enough, enough?
Jack has half a million dollars in the his campaign fund and he is out begging for more!!
I checked Reick’s campaign fund and i noticed that neither the State or County GOP has given him any financial support.
When is the GOP going to step forward and promote the GOP candidate financially?
Show me the money!!
Jack and the Democrats certainly have!!

Historically, the County Republican Central Committee has asked candidates for money, not given it to them.
The most I’ve seen are paper or ad pitches for each of the candidates on the ballot.
Traditionally, Republicans lose to Jack Franks.
Sad!
I agree with cautious voter.
There ought to have been a $5000 contribution category on the western-themed flyer “Cattle Rustler” because that’s what Republican who vote for Franks are ……. bovine-idiots!
