Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner visited his supporters in Crystal Lake Saturday afternoon at GOP Headquarters in the Crystal Lake Plaza.
The appearance was designed to inspired those whom he hopes will be his “ground game” between now and the election.
The head of the state ticket was introduced by Congressman Randy Hultgren.
“He’s in the business of turning things around,” Hultgren said.
Rauner explained that he had inherited nothing and been very successful.
To applause, he said he was not going to apologize for that success.
“My wife and I are dedicated to giving back,” he said.
Rauner pointed out that he would not take a salary or a pension.
“I’m a worker.
“We’re going to win.
“I’m not going to lose.”
He said he was going to seven African-American churches Sunday.
And, then he was off to his next stop.

Back when I was a bit more analytical than I am now, statewide Republican candidates could not win without getting at lease 58% of the vote in McHenry County.
Rauner’s frequent appearances in McHenry County combined with his phone bank and walkers indicate that he is trying to get more than 60% of the vote locally.
Looks like a great group of people.
Why is that RINO-saboteur Tryon mugging in the pix ……… ?????
