Tribune Story on Barrington Hills Zoning Fight Ignores Abboud

BH Trib 10-4-14 p1I don’t begin to understand Barrington Hills politics, but I have been told that former Village President Robert Abboud backed the loser in the recent Appellate Court zoning fight.

At issue, as the Chicago Tribune points out in its lead article on Saturday, was whether a commercial boarding stable fit within the rules of the village zoning ordinance.

A recent Appellate Court decision ruled that it did not.

Missing from the article, which you can read here, is Robert Abboud’s name.

Perhaps some Barrington Hills readers can fill in the blanks.

  1. Robert McCoppin is an illiterate, lazy, sleaze ball.

If he’s not digging in the garbage, he doesn’t have enough brain cells to do an investigative report worth a bit.

Having McCoppin write a lead article shows you have financially strapped the Tribune is.

    It’s a total rag.

I wouldn’t let him write for the Woodstock Independent.

    McCoppin is really bad.

  2. To be fair, Skeptic, they assigned a reporter worthy of writing an article about a petty zoning spat in a 4,000 person village.

This ain’t exactly something important or that affects large numbers of people.
