Lloyd R. Everard has been nominated to fill the vacancy on the McHenry County Ethics Commission caused by Scott Harman’s appointment as Deputy County Administrator.
He is a vice president of Human Resources with Greenlee, part of Textron Company, a Fortune 500 Company He works in Rockford.
A web site describes the company as being “widely known in the electrical trade as the premier source for professional grade tools/testing equipment.”
Everard said he was interested in the position because he felt that his expertise could greatly contribute to the processes and challenges faced by the Ethics Commission.
He has a significant amount of experience in conducting and receiving ethics training on a regular basis because of the heavy compliance requirements that are imposed in the regulated industry that he works in.
When ethical violations may have occurred, his philosophy is that “people do the darndest things” and he conveyed to the committee that he understands how to work with people to address ethic issues and to provide accountability.
Everard lives in the Grafton Township part of Crystal Lake, is married and has several grown children. A few years ago he served as a Republican Committeeman in Grafton 10 for several terms but has not been a committeeman for the last two years.
Everard’s has experience in working on several non-profit boards.
