Six Years for Domestic Battery

Michael Lang Sentenced to Six Years in the Illinois Department of Corrections

Louis A. Bianchi, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Michael Lang, 27, formerly of Woodstock, was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offenses of Aggravated Domestic Battery and Violation of an Order.

The victim was beaten so severely that she sustained a broken nose and three ribs and underwent two surgeries to repair her shattered wrist and collarbone.

This case was investigated by the Woodstock Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Kate Lenhard and Robert Zalud of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The defendant was sentenced to four and a half years in the Department of Corrections on the Aggravated Domestic Battery which is subject to truth in sentencing.

The defendant was further sentenced to eighteen months in the Department of Corrections for Violating an Order of Protection. The two sentences must be served consecutively.
