Prim Offers Thanks

McHenry County Sheriff-Elect Bill Prim sent the following email to volunteers and donors:

Bill Prim after declaring victory election night. His son Hank joins the throng applauding.

You did it.

You came through with flying colors (excluding electric yellow).

This time there was no need for discovery recounts or court appearances. It was more than decisive.

As I told the Daily Herald recently, I credit my victory to my pool of volunteers.

I said our campaign was a true grassroots effort composed of shoe leather and perseverance.

So give yourself a high-five.

Thanks to your help, we are embarked on a mission to reform and renew the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

I shall still need your help in the years ahead, as undoubtedly you’re aware of my enthusiasm for volunteerism.

But for now, let me repeat what I said after the primary:

“A very special ‘thank you’ to all the people young and old, male and female, who gathered signatures for me, distributed signs, permitted a sign in their yard, walked the precincts, attended a function, donated funds, or did any one of the thousands of  tasks that are required for a successful campaign these days.

“You should rightfully feel proud of yourselves.”

Prim Offers Thanks — 19 Comments

  1. Campaigns are made much easier when you have a great candidate!

Thank you, Bill for stepping to the plate!!!

It is not easy to be candidate for any office but in your case you had a lot of old guard obstacles to overcome!

    Again, thank YOU!!

  2. Congratulations to Bill Prim!!! Thank you so much for running for Sheriff!

  3. McHenry is sooo lucky to have you as our sheriff Bill!

    Thanks for running.

  4. Me too: I’m sooo Happy with Happy.

I’m also Happy I don’t have to type ” Prim” or “harrison” names again. (well not as much)

    Thanks to Billy for running.

After the swearing in I’ll have to call him Sheriff Prim. l.o.l.

  5. Time to disband the Nygren and Zinke Circus…

Just so you know, Andy, there are several circuses across the country accepting resumes for clowns.

Lucky for you, there will never be a shortage of work….

Darn, we all had so much fun writing about your antics.

Bet, you got tired of being the main attraction at the circus, did you?

You must be so tired from digging all of those holes?

Sure hope the Local 150 boys are helping you…

As for you Mr Jerry Springer shock jock, we are still waiting for those land records.

  6. Prior to and during my brief tenure as Algonquin Township 33rd Precinct Committeeman, I had the pleasure to get to know Bill Prim and support his candidacy through the Primary elections.

Unfortunately, we were unable to vote for him as we moved to Lake County before the November elections.

McHenry County residents will soon come to appreciate how lucky they are to have a person of such high character and competency as Bill to serve as their Sheriff.

  7. Time to begin the work….

We are all depending on you, Bill.

We are all confident you will make us proud.

  8. Cindy Prim does not owe you an answer….

When he is ready the people will know…

So go find something better to do than challenge the right candidate that was chosen for the job; Bill Prim.

You are just bitter that Prim won and the “Regime” lost…

    So, go take a hike!

  9. Instead, of asking Prim if he will be in Washington DC your time would be better served by obtaining those land records that Mr Jerry Springer shock jock never disclosed to the public.

  10. Duncan are you an idiot?

I was fully behind Prim! Stop name-calling for a minute and unite.

Do you even understand what is happening on December 10th?

  11. Well, thank you, Lori.

But, I didn’t receive any letter and I still know about what is going on.

Swear in is traditionally on December 1st as I understand.

  12. Cindy – much of what people do not understand are the budget issues and what goes on.

Prim has no control over that now and is very limited..

Zinke and company can continue to spend (as they are doing) big time and then Bill will get stuck with the bills.

There are issues with that department loosing money.

I am sure, as I am aware of the personalities involved, that there will be NO NICE TRANSITION.

    Bitter nasty people.

Bill is very likely to walk into a nice big mess!

  13. Congratulations Bill.

You will do you a great job for the people of McHenry County.

Thanks to you and your family for an honest campaign.

  14. December 10th message to Sheriff Prim …

“The citizens of our nation are counting on the American Sheriffs to fulfill our oath to preserve law and order and live up to our responsibilities as guardians of the United States Constitution,” he exhorted.

“Given the fact that 25 people in the United States are killed each day by illegal immigrants, and our schools are becoming overcrowded and more costly, our public health is threatened by new diseases and ailments introduced by people living in our communities illegally, and the fact that benefits are being given and violations of laws forgiven for a select group of non-citizens, makes clear our obligation to act now before we erode the confidence and faith citizens have in Sheriffs across the country and throughout our history.”…Manny Quiroz
