Harvard Man Threatens to Torch Household Member

From the Harvard Police Department:

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE/ARSON

On 11-11-14 at 1547 hrs, Joseph M. Kusek (m-42 yoa) 204 N. Eastman St. Apt #2 was arrested for Attempted Arson,

Resisting a Peace Officer and Assault after he threatened to spray a household member with lighter fluid and light them on fire.

Kusek proceeded to enter a residence in the 200 blk of N. Eastman St, spray lighter fluid in the common interior hallway.

When police tried to make entry Kusek forced his body against the exterior door and began to
ignite the lighter fluid with a cigarette lighter.

Kusek was taken into custody and transported to the McHenry County Jail in lieu of bond.

  1. Check out most Harvard Police reports. The great majority end with: “150.00 bond was posted”. It appears most people apprehended in Harvard are fined $150.00 for all criminal acts. If the person arrested does not show up for his / her court date, the bond is forfeited.
