While the First United Methodist Church’s Pre-School is in session, the free food provided by the Northern Illinois Food Bank is being distributed at Nunda Township.

Produce is along the back wall. Bread and deserts are the last stop. There is always more than enough bread. Last week twelve boxfuls had not been put out when this photo was taken.

The Nunda Township Office is not on a main drag. In fact, it is difficult to find.  There are traffic lights on the McHenry-Crystal Lake Blacktop at Pleasant Hill Road (near Prairie Ridge High School) and Edgewood Road.  One goes a fair distance until one finds the north-south Bay Road.

People have come from as far as Marengo for the food distribution.
