Republican Precinct Committeeman Bob Anderson of Wonder Lake has filed challenges to the petitions of three incumbents running for re-election to the Harrison Grade School 36 Board.

Anderson is a candidate for a two-year term.  He is unopposed.

Board President Karen Parks might even get knocked off the ballot.

All candidates needed fifty signatures to get on the ballot.

Parks filled fifty lines, but three of the names are printed, not signed.

The other two–Laurie Alsot and Mark Nothdorf–probably will survive more technical objections.

Most of the objections go to incomplete filling out of the top part of the petition forms, using ditto marks and “WL,” instead of “Wonder Lake.”

“If you were a school board member handling a $5-6 million budget, you should know how to fill out these petitions correctly,” Anderson said.

“If I was grading all three of these petitions they filed, they’d get failing grades.”

  1. Finally somebody good for the WL single-school school district …………

    C O N S O L I D A T E it ……….

does a single-school school dist really need a Supt. AND a Principal …..

the Principal here is not the taxpayers PAL!

  2. Mr. Anderson believes teachers make too much and that tax is too high.

I fear for how little he values youth of Wonder Lake.

His running in this board election is nothing more than personal gain to assure he, along with others, do not have to invest in the future of their community.

Someone needs to step up and stop this narrow minded man from destroying the educational system in Wonder Lake!
