Not long after there was a Cal Skinner, Jr., his father worked his father’s Maryland farm with a mule. Roy Skinner was sick that summer and couldn’t do the work himself.
John Kass had a column Friday in which he focused on Chicago mayoral candidate Willie Wilson’s having used a mule to plow cotton fields in Louisiana.
Wilson’s father did so, too. He was a share cropper.
Kass pointed out that his father had also plowed his field in Greece with a mule.
That reminded me that my father plowed his father’s farm near Crumpton, Maryland, with a mule.
OH I am hating myself for this post so no one else needs to,BUT
does that makes you a real “MULESKINNER”
Bill – Darn, you beat me to it!
