LITH Police Seek Help Finding Home Burglar Who Fled on Foot

A press release from the Lake in the Hills Police:

Alert: Help identifying residential burglary suspect(s).

On 01/14/15 at approximately 7:04 p.m., the Lake in the Hills Police Department received a report of a residential burglary in the ten block of Danbury Court, Lake in the Hills.

The resident arrived home and observed a running vehicle sitting unoccupied in front of the home.

The resident went into the house and found the back door and the inside garage door open. Entry appeared to have been gained by breaking the basement window.

Taken was an unknown amount of jewelry, computers, various electronic equipment, and cash. The suspect(s) had fled the area on foot towards the area of Miller Rd. and Haligus Rd., also possibly towards Greenshire Circle.

The running vehicle was determined to be stolen out of Schaumburg.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department is seeking information as to any suspicious subjects or activity that may have been observed in this area during the time frame as it is believed that the suspect(s) lost their mode of transportation.

Since 12/24/15, there have been 2 other residential burglaries:

  • one residential burglary was in the area of Starwood Pass and Sweetwater Ridge, and
  • the other in the area of Washington Street and McKinley Street.

One residence had its window broken, and the other residence was unlocked.
