Again about ten on Friday morning, the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake in cooperation with the Northern Illinois Food Bank will distribute three to six pallets of food to those who come.

The Nunda Township facility is between Routes 31 and the Crystal Lake-McHenry Blacktop, commonly called Walkup Road in Crystal Lake.

  1. Although this may be “no questions asked”, the Northern Illinois Food Bank states – Our Mission:

Leading the northern Illinois community in solving hunger by providing nutritious meals to those in need through innovative programs and partnerships.

“To those in need” not “to those who come”.

The Food Bank is both government and privately funded.

If you are not a person in need, please do not take.

In doing so you not only falsify the numbers of those in need, but also may deprive those that truely are.
