State Rep. Barbara Wheeler’s drunk driving bill was featured in a Chicago Sun-Times article on Monday.

State Rep. Barbara Wheeler has decided to run for re-election.

She informed McHenry County Blog in response to a question brought up with regard to her formerly touted candidacy for McHenry County Recorder of Deeds.

It is widely assumed that incumbent Recorder Phyllis Walters will not seek re-election..although she has not made such an announcement.

Recently, Wheeler has pushed tougher drunken driver legislation and been supported in that effort by her 2014 Democratic Party opponent Joel Mains.
