McConnaughay Reports

What State Senator Karen McConnaughay wants you to know about what she is doing in Springfield:

Senator McConnaughay’s Legislative Update: May 12, 2015

On May 8, the Illinois Supreme Court voted to strike down Illinois’ 2013 pension reform law. For legislators, the next step will be for us to work together, and with Governor Bruce Rauner, to craft a solution to Illinois’ pension problem.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Common Core PARCC Testing forum that Rep. Steven Andersson and I hosted May 4. Listening your questions and concerns, and hearing from our panel of experts, is incredibly valuable as we consider the future of education in Illinois.

As the spring session continues, a number of key issues remain unresolved in Springfield. As we work toward finding solutions to these problems your input continues to be vital to the work I do in Springfield. Please contact me or my office with questions or concerns you may have, and make sure your voice is heard in Springfield! You can also visit my legislative website athttp://senatormcconnaughay.com/.
