Included in the invitation is the announcement that he plans to run in the at-large election for McHenry County Board Chairman next year.

  1. I’m no expert, but reading the invite it looks like the minimum is $75.

The minimum sponsorship is $150 which actually seems low for a sponsorship for a countywide office based on what I have seen.

  2. State Representative District 63 represented by Jack Franks is the only State Representative or State Legislative (Senate) district entirely within McHenry County.

Jack Franks is the only Democratic state legislator in McHenry County.

Other State Representative Districts in McHenry County:
    District 52 – Dave McSweeney
    District 64 – Barb Wheeler
    District 65 – Steve Andersson
    District 66 – Michael Tryon

State Legislative (Senate) Districts in McHenry County:
    District 26 – Dan Duffy
    District 32 – Pam Althoff
    District 33 – Karen McConnaughay

US Congressional (Representative) Districts in McHenry County:
    District 6 – Peter Roskam
    District 14 – Randy Hultgren

    US Senators representing Illinois:
    Dick Durbin
    Mark Kirk

The 2016 General Primary election is Tuesday March 15th.

  3. Educate your fellow voters relative to the character of Joe.

Oakwood Hills is a classic example of an attorney feed off the misery of the people.

We do not need a greedy lawyer running the County.

That also rules out Jack Franks.

  4. Gottemoller who continues to stack committees and make appointments by ‘currying’ favor.

  5. In addition to Joe turning on his own constituents in District 3 when he represented a Canadian power company’s attempt to build the largest natural gas power plant in the U.S. across the street from a school and a stones throw from many homes, when the opposition heated up, Joe resigned like the coward he is.

Did he really think he could get this shoved under our noses?

I had the pleasure of seeing him in action in Crystal Lake.

He represented Ryland Homes development on the east side of Rt 31.

Traditionally homes on the north side of Crystal Lake are on 1/2 acre lots at minimum.

These were to be 1/4 acre lots, so we fought it.

We also complained about the “beigeness” of their product.

Joe and Ryland went around the area taking pictures of the most unkept houses they could find and presented same at the City council meeting.

This ridiculous tactic was not well received but of of course Crystal Lake approved it as it’s almost not really in the City.

I think Joe is unable to see the “other side” at best.

Gives no shits about the residents of McHenry County, at worst

  6. @Mrs. I suggest you vote with your feet and move out of McHenry County. There are few trying to lower taxes in this county. For a Republican County and Republican represented county board, their appreciation for the tax payers is pathetic.

Gasser, Wheeler, Evertson are the true tax fighters.

Now you have Jack Franks, a true Democrat showing up the rino’s in McHenry County. Gottemeiler has done everything to shut down the tax fighters.

  7. Joe must of looked at Jack for raising $$$$ to get elected.

Jack had all kinds of fund raisers out of the county, Springfield and Chicago to name just couple.

Jack is for Jack, and maybe Joe also.

  8. I will fully support Joe Gottemoller.

Those that call Joe a “greedy lawyer” obviously do not know him.

They should find out why Joe resigned as lawyer for Grafton Township some years back.

Who Joe represents as a lawyer is not the question, the question is “how well does he represent his clients”.

I believe he will be a well accepted representative of McHenry County when he meets with the other collar county heads of government.

Those who are criticizing Joe should put up their own candidate and see what happens.

The electorate will decide and, of course, some will continue to grind their axes.
