Consider this a cause.
I have just tried to find the minutes of another McHenry County Board committee–the Law & Justice Committee.
Here’s what popped up when I clicked on “Minutes of May 4, 2015 8:15 AM:”
I don’t have the password, so I can’t read the description of what happened at the May 6th meeting.
Neither can you.
Consider the forthrightness of the McHenry County 708 Mental Health Board:
The 708 Board has solved the problem.
Just put “DRAFT” across the proposed minutes.
In board packets, pretty much everything else to be considered in a meeting is made public before the meeting.
Why not what happened at the previous meeting?
Placing the prior meeting’s Minutes in the board packet with the word “Draft” screen printed on each page is a great idea.
Board meetings should also be videotaped and indefinitely archived on the taxing district website.
