The Committee to Elect Tina R. Hill announces that she will seek the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for McHenry County in the March 2016 Primary and November 2016 General Election. Tina seeks to continue her public service as the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County and continue the digital upgrades that will provide efficiency and savings to McHenry County taxpayers.

Tina has worked tirelessly for the last fourteen years representing District 5 on the County Board which comprises Dorr and most of Grafton Township and Greenwood 4. Some of her major accomplishments were:

Increased government transparency by streaming live audio of meetings of the
Board and posting attendance on line.

Building a new Valley Hi nursing home for our neediest seniors and a more centralized location for Animal Control that increased animal adoption and worked towards a goal of a no kill shelter.

Supported the elimination of the back files to all digitized files in the Recorder’s office so all records are available to taxpayers.

Lead the efforts of the new 2030 Land Use Plan and new Unified Development Ordinance which builds on environmental protections as well as encourages economic development with less restrictions for start-up businesses and promotes agriculture and agri-tourism.

Led the team and Board members for the Algonquin Bypass which came to reality this past September. Sat
with Senator Durbin and our State Delegation at the ribbon cutting of this momentous occasion. This will move traffic more efficiently in our major corridor to ship goods in and out of the County.

Under her leadership, the Board came to a consensus on the improvement of the Randal Road intersection at Algonquin Rd., building community and municipal support to a mutually beneficial decision.

Working with Marengo and Congressman Hultgren, she started the process of bringing our first State Route and major interchange to McHenry County at Rte. 90 and Rte. 23. With the zoning changes the County and Marengo have put in place, we are at the precipice to expand economic development with a diversity of manufacturing, industry and retail at that corridor.

As Planning and Development Chairwoman for four years and then Board Chairwoman for two years and now Vice-Chairwoman of Transportation and Chairwoman of Management Services, Tina has provided leadership to accomplish real goals and objectives to position McHenry County as a leader in job creation, protected environment and a quality of life that people search for all over the country.

She is known as the go to person to bring diverse groups of people together, build consensus, reach a workable conclusion and carry out the desired objective.

  1. Don’t be cruel.

Everyone slips up sometime with something.

  2. Rauner and republicans say they want term limits.

Shouldn’t these people give other people a chance at leadership positions.

Maybe she needs a job in private industry, which you guys say create all jobs.

  3. The last sentence in the article is a real killer.

Maybe someone needs help selling garage doors.

  4. Funny stuff.

Hopefully better choices emerge. If she is the best we have then the goose is cooked.

  5. SHE’S responsible for more govt. transparency??

Is that why when the microphones didn’t seem to be working at the county board meeting during a highly contested subject, she said ‘sorry that’s the best we can do’

“Came to a consensus on the improvement of the Randal Road intersection at Algonquin Rd., building community and municipal support to a mutually beneficial decision????”

    Seriously?

Public descent got them to dial down the Continuous Flow Intersection/Miles of Frontage Roads/4 Pedestrian Overpasses, but low and behold The Price is Still the SAME!!!

    What accomplishment is that?

Under her leadership, the Board…blah blah blah Had to get Joe Gottemoeller to step in as Board Chair because the meetings were unorganized messes and laughable.

    And newsflash:

No one wants or feels we need a major interchange to McHenry County at Rte. 90 and Rte. 23!!!

Keep in mind this is HER press release on herself.

  6. Anyone out there have the word on Recorder Walters’ pick?

    will it surprise anyone???

    not by McHenry County standards.
