We continue today looking at things political in Crystal Lake’s July 4th Parade–held on July 5th.

McHenry County Board member Donna Kurtz rode on her Kurtzmobile.

Donna Kurtz’ Kurtzmobile had an umbrella this year. Michael Walkup follows with one of his yard signs.

Her mother, former State Rep. and now District 155 High School Board member Rosemary Kurtz, walked with her, as did McHenry County Board member Michael Walkup.

State Rep. Barb Wheeler’s group came next.

State Rep. Barb Wheeler’s entry followed that of Donna Kurtz.

In the background can be seen a sign supporting township consolidation.

Bob Anderson, marching with the Young Republicans, carried a sign favoring consolidation of townships.

The Young Republicans had a truck with signs supporting Pam Althoff.

Tina Hill’s car came next.

“Thank You, Police Officers,” read the banner in front of Walsh Freedom marchers.

Behind was a large contingent of Joe Walsh walkers.

Former Congressman Joe Walsh and others were shouting, “Thank you, Blue.”

Their banner read, “Thank You Police Officers.”

Applause met the Walsh Freedom contingent’s support of police officers.

People were applauding the “Go Blue!” message of Walsh Freedom.
