A continuation of Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade entries with a political tinge.

The next entry with a political message was the one for Parents Friends of Lesbians and Gays.

The PFLAG entry.

Catholic Parents marched with the group.

The sign reads, “Fortunate Families, Catholic Parents ‘Best Ally’ Award from PFLAG.”

The next entry with a political tinge was related to abortion.

The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary sponsored this Pro-Life float.

Pro-Lifers had the first entry I have seen in a Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade.

Strollers were part of the Pro-Life entry.  The tee shirt reads, “God Shed His Grace on…”

Behind the float were men and women pushing strollers.

Next up were the American Heritage Girls.

American Heritage Girls are more traditional than the Girl Scouts.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this organization started in reaction to the Girl Scouts admitting lesbians.

Jesse White’s Tumblers put on a series of shows in Crystal Lake again this year.

Not political, but who could pass up a leap like the one above.
