State Rep. candidate Dan McConchie has filed information with the Illinois State Board of Elections showing he has received $10,000 in campaign contributions in his effort to replace retiring State Rep. Ed Sullivan.
Contributions reported are
- $5,400 from Richard Ulein, Lake Forest
- $2,000 from Richard Slayton, Lake Foresr
- $1,500 from Daniel Dickerson, Lake Zurich
- $1,000 from Bonnie Quirke, Libertyville
McConchie put in $5,000 himself in June.
McConchie is facing off against Lake County Board member Nick Sauer.
Sauer reported having $41,280.17 in his campaign committee at the end of June.
The district is the eastern half of State Senator Dan Duffy’s map.
Would like to hear what each says about the unsustainable pensions created by legislative, state, and local mismanagement of the entire political process surrounding pensions and that goes from state lawmakers hiking benefits to local politicians diverting pension funding, some of which was used to hike salaries (which hikes pension payout).
Sauer is much more tied to the political status quo than McConchie.
The Duffy endorsement of McConchie speaks volumes.
They are both good candidates.
