John O’Neill, the first home school parent to be elected to a McHenry County school board, has resigned from the McHenry Grade School Board.
O’Neill told McHenry County Blog that he is “resigning due to a relocation of his family.”
He was first elected to the D15 Board of Education in 2007, served 8 1/2 years.
O’Neill has also served on the McHenry Library Board and ran against State Rep. Jack Franks in 2010.
