Lake Barrington, IL. – September 14, 2015 – Conservative State Representative David McSweeney, District 52 joins 22 additional local leaders in endorsing Nick Sauer for State Representative in District 51.

This brings the list of endorsements for Lake County Board Member Nick Sauer to 64 and counting since his announcement August 31 to run for State Representative.

In endorsing Nick Sauer, Representative McSweeney said “Nick will be a great State Representative. I’m confident that he’ll fight for lower taxes, less spending and real reform.”

About Nick Sauer

As Illinois State Representative, Nick Sauer will work hard to restore faith in our government, continue to be a fiscal watchdog, create common sense solutions to our complex financial problems and inspire families and young people to believe in Illinois’ future.

Nick Sauer currently serves as a Lake County Board Member and Forest Preserve Commissioner, as well as a Director on the Illinois Tollway Board, appointed by Governor Rauner.

Nick is a member of Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, is the Chairman of the Cuba Township Republicans and is actively involved in the Lions Club, Chambers of Commerce, Royal Family Kids Camps for foster children and Citizens for Conservation. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver and is obtaining his masters degree from Northwestern University. Nick is also an alumnus of the Edgar Fellows Program at the University of Illinois.

Illinois House District 51 is in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and encompasses Barrington, Deer Park, Green Oaks, Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, Lake Zurich, Lake Barrington, Libertyville, Long Grove, Mundelein, North Barrington, Tower Lakes and Vernon Hills.
