Searching for Three Woodstock Burglars

From the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department:

Message sent on behalf of Woodstock Police Department: Residential Burglary Investigation

On Wednesday, November 18th, 2015, at 09:23 a.m. Woodstock Police Department officers responded to the 400 block of Oakwood Ave. after a concerned citizen noticed suspicious activity at a neighbor’s residence.

400 Block of Wood

400 Block of Oakwood in Woodstock

Upon the officers’ arrival, they observed three male subjects, who were not the residence owners, in the process of burglarizing the home.

The three unknown subjects fled the area on foot.

During a subsequent search of the area, two out of the three subjects were located and detained.

Due to the close proximity between the incident and a school, Community Unit School District 200 was apprised of the incident and they chose to go into a “soft-lockdown” purely as a precaution.

The search for the third individual continues. He is described as a thin male/black, approximately 5’ 10” with “dreadlocks” wearing a hooded, patterned darker sweatshirt and light gray sweatpants.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Woodstock Police Department at 815-338-2131.

  1. And that’s why all my neighbors and we are armed with guns!

Anything can happen to anyone, anywhere.

    Be prepared.

Hoping the other two sing real soon!

  2. Good grief.

Three males/one black again! This storyline is getting old.

  3. Most residential burglaries occur during the day.

There have been several west of Harvard recently.

  4. These are “refugees” from Chicago and as such, Woodstock residents MUST
welcome them with nonjudgmental open arms.
Failure to comply will result in a visit from Obama’s DOJ, and you know what
    that means.

  5. Ask Jacko Franks about all the nice Section 8 criminals bussed out herr from Chicago!
