A press release from the Crystal Lake Police Department:

The Crystal Lake Police Department has Completed the 2015

“Thanksgiving Holiday Crackdown to Save Lives”

CL police car winterThe Crystal Lake Police Department conducted enforcement from November 16th-29th, 2015, reminding motorists to buckle up and not drive impaired during the Click It or Ticket mobilization.

The Crystal Lake Police Department joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to reduce highway fatalities by cracking down on unbuckled motorists and impaired drivers.

During the mobilization, the Department:

Stopped 94 motorists for traffic violations

Issued a total of 76 traffic citations which included:

  • 46 citations for unlawful use of an electronic communications
  • 13 citations for speeding
  • 11 citation for operation of an uninsured motor vehicle
  • 5 citations for safety belt citations
  • 1 citations for other moving violations and equipment

In addition, 1 subject was arrested for the following offenses:

  •  Driving while license revoked, DUI alcohol and for having a BAC

The recent law enforcement crackdown was funded by federal traffic safety funds through IDOT’s Division of Traffic Safety and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns.

  1. Do you remember when seatbelt laws were first enacted ?

    The public was assured that citations would be a “non-finable offense”.

    We can see how that turned out for the motoring public.

    Welcome to the soft tyranny of government.

  2. The CLPD is out of control.

    They are now arresting mentally challenged individuals at the Pioneer Center.

    Police are essential to society.

    Do they really need to be informed why they are disliked so much? Stop arresting people who aren’t a threat.

    Use common sense.

    Stop being thugs to your neighbors in asserting your authority.

    Were they just reasonable, they’d have virtually everyone on their side.

    But too often they go out of their way to aggressively pursue, damage, and injure their own citizenry.

  3. They are good order takers and followers.

    It is what is needed for the NWO to succeed.
